Hand building with clay is one interesting experiment after another. With no need to replicate yesterday’s project and no constraints on my creativity—forms, expressions, and textures, each piece evolves and develops a life of its own.
I am inspired by the ancient Japanese method of finishing pottery called Raku. In addition I am experimenting with other alternative methods of firing including Saggar, Smoke, Obvera, Horsehair, Ghost Feathers, and Fumed, all using a Raku Kiln. Each method provides unique results giving my work many different looks.

Each unique object is a product of my imagination looking for a home where the creative is valued.
